Improving life through
live animated interaction

Using live animation technology and animated characters, we enhance the communication between health professionals and child patients. We call this concept PLAITM - Psychiatric Live Animotion Intervention.

Rokoko Smartsuit

We invented our own motion capture SmartsuitTM, that can track body movements. Using Wifi connection the SmartsuitTM enables remotely monitored training and rehabilitation.

  • The founders and managers at PLAI demonstrated real passion for helping people to improve their lives; and their invention is incredibly significant not only for children and their families, but also more broadly in other industries.

    Managing Director
    Smart Health Science Limited
  • I was highly impressed by the innovative presentation and, more importantly, the high quality product offered by PLAI. As an Occupational Therapist, I could instantly see the potential application of this technology solution in many different clinical settings.
    Donna Henderson
    Head of European Engagement
    NHS 24
  • I had the pleasure to see in first person how a technology, originally meant for the cinema industry, could benefit families and therapists of kids affected by Autism Spectrum Disorder to an unprecedented stage. The possibilities of the proposed solution can really make a difference.

Psychiatric live
Animotion intervention

PLAITM is an award winning intervention tool used to improve communication with children in psychiatric tele-treatment.

By combining motion capture technology with live animation, PLAITM enables health professionals to communicate with and visit patients as an animated character in the patient’s home.

The goal is to enhance the comfort and sense of security in child patients and communicate on a level not possible through human interaction.

PLAI is being used in a collaborative research project with The University of Southern Denmark.

The goal is to develop an eMentalHealth device that will improve the quality of life for individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD).

PLAI is supported by Psykiatriens Forskningsfond and Det Obelske Familiefond.

We are currently working with partners whose expertise range from data visualization to traditional physical therapy. The collaborative effort serves to explore and build upon motion capture technology in order to provide valuable body metric analytics and target movement precision.

We want to improve the way you move.
